Ka tukuna e Toitu Ngati Porou putea tautoko ki nga Rohenga Tipuna e whitu o Ngati Porou hei akiaki hei tautoko i a ratau ki te whakatu i etahi kaupapa whakanui i a Matariki i roto i to tatau rohe.

Ko te $10,000 te utu kua wawahitia ki ia Rohenga Tipuna.

FUNDING PURPOSE

The purpose of this funding is to help support Whanau, Hapu, Marae and community groups within the Ngati Porou Rohe to celebrate and enhance their cultural capacity and knowledge of Matariki, Te Matahi o Te Tau.

KEY INFORMATION

Each Rohena Tipuna is allocated $10,000 which can be given to one entity within the Rohenga Tipuna or it can be divided amongst multiple entities within the Rohenga Tipuna.

It all depends on how many applications we received per Rohenga Tipuna.

CRITERIA/ ELIGIBILITY

• The applicant must be a registered Ngati Porou Iwi member

• The event/programme must take place within the Ngati Porou rohe.

• All applicants need a letter of endorsement from a marae within your Rohenga Tipuna.

• A program/Itinerary/panui/poster for your planned Whakanuia Matariki Event/Programme.

• Event/Programme Budget Breakdown with a copy of all income & expenditure.

• All successful applicants are required to submit an accountability report within 2 weeks of completing the event/programme.

Ngati Porou Reo & Tikanga

Toitu Ngati Porou is dedicated to help build Ngati Porou capacity in Te Reo Ake o Ngati Porou me ona tikanga. Please describe in the section below how your kaupapa will help do that.

•   If successful, I/We commit to: Using the grant solely for the purposes stated in this application and in line with the Toitu Ngati Porou Trust Deed. Submitting all required reports (progress and accountability) by the specified deadlines. Providing evidence of both financial expenditure and kaupapa outcomes. Meeting all legal, tax, and compliance obligations. Accepting that failure to comply may result in repayment of funds and/or ineligibility for future funding.

Reporting requirement

All successful applicants are required to provide a report to Toitu Ngati Porou within 14 days of the event/project/initiative.

If your application is approved, we will send a reporting template for your entity to complete.
